It's obvious that many of us sadly miss the Uni-Koeln awards. Hopefully the voting will take place before next season begins...
But in the mean time - let's focus a little bit on the Norwegian speedskating teams. Just like for the last couple of seasons, most of the major skaters are either training with a federation team or with the "Norges SkÞyteakademi" team.

NORGES SKÃYTEAKADEMI
The final team announcements are nowhere to be found right now, but this is what I believe are the NSA teams for this coming season:
(middle distance / allround)
Ellen Bjertnes (1994), Camilla Lund (1994), Inga Anne Vasaasen (1996), Ida Sanderud (1996), Fredrik van der Horst (1989), Kristian Vårvik* (1992), Fredrik Nybråten (1994), Kristian Aabakken (1996), Kristian Reinton* (1996)
(sprint)
Hanne Haugland (1991), Martine L. Bruun (1996), Christoffer F. Rukke (1988), Henrik F. Rukke (1996)
The NSA teams will be training a lot in Inzell, and there are several skaters from Poland and other countries on the teams as well as Norwegian ones.
Last year's coach Wotherspoon has transferred to the NSF (se above), and there was quite a fuzz about this earlier this summer. More information on that:

This ISU-sponsored project for NEO-seniors will have 5 skaters from Norway this season:
Camilla Lund (1994), Marte Vatn (1994), Anders B. Furnée (1993), Runar N. KrÞyer (1995). Those were all part of the project in 2015/16 as well.
OTHERS:
Aleksander Waagenes (1991) will be training with the socalled Team Pechstein (coach: Peter Mueller).
Espen Tveit (1991) has announced his retirement from top level skating. Simen Kroken (1992) and Johann J. SÊves (1994) were not offered renewals of their spots on the federation sprint team.
