Calling speed skating fans all over the world!
As far as I know, this discussion group is the only truly international one that covers - or should cover! - speed skating issues. That's why it's so essential that it is used, especially in crucial times like these.
For example, how are the views in different countries on P. Kulizhnikov's surprising comeback to the sprint scene?
And more importantly, how are the views on several proposals to new structures regarding ISU championships - to be discussed by the ISU this summer?
How are the views on more and more "new" events such as the mass start and the team sprint in the World cup and Wch programmes? Is it OK that the 500m is decided after one race, if it makes it possible to add the team sprint?
How could we get more pairs on the 10 000 m - Or will the allround survive, even with just four pairs?
Et cetera. I should think there are views on some of those topics and many more amongst the 903 (?!) subscribers of this group - so why not share some of them here?
Regards, B. Haarberg.
